Tips and Inspiration for your European holiday

In my recent article where travel bloggers shared their favourite UK destinations, there were so many new and interesting places to add to my bucket list that I thought it worthwhile to find out what bloggers regard as their European favourites.

Deciding what is the best time of year to travel to Europe for your holiday can be one of the hardest parts of the decision-making process, particularly for the first-time traveller.  There’s no single ‘best’ time to visit Europe as every traveller’s preferences are different but there are a number of things to consider before you book yourself on that flight.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words – but it can also create a serious case of envy.  My list of ‘must visit’ places in Europe seems to be growing all the time and after stumbling across these photos recently, I've been inspired to add ten more destinations to the list.

Like most people, I’ve been hearing about Uber for a few years now but it was only recently that I used the ride sharing service for the first time. The best part?  Learning how to schedule (ie. book) a ride with Uber was really easy.

Australians have long had an affinity with Turkey and a desire to visit the country that straddles both Europe and Asia. From the majestic Blue Mosque in Istanbul, to the World Heritage site of Cappadocia and the WWI landing site of Gallipoli, Turkey offers something special for everyone. Unlike most other European countries, Australian passport holders (and most foreign nationals) require a visa to visit Turkey, however applying for a Turkish visa online is easy.

When planning a holiday to Europe, one of the major decisions you’ll need to make if you plan to travel independently, is how you are going to get from A to B.  There are lots of different transport options available in Europe and you might find using a combination of them suits you best.

Having stayed in Eurocamp holiday parcs in Europe on numerous occasions, I thought it was time I wrote a review and told you exactly what you can expect with this type of accommodation and why I love it.

Airbnb is one of those companies that you wish you started!  From renting space in their own place to a couple of travellers, the guys that started Airbnb then went on to create what is probably the world’s best-known accommodation booking service with hundreds of thousands of accommodation listings around the world.

With the United Kingdom’s recent vote to leave the European Union (EU)*, commonly referred to as 'Brexit', questions are being asked as to how this decision will affect Australian travellers.  The truth is, at this stage, most of these questions remain unanswered, however it appears that there will be little change for travellers from Commonwealth countries.
