How long has your business been operating?

We welcomed our first guests to stay in June 2008 

What inspired you to start the business?

We had bought a very run-down former farm (les Limornieres) in 2006 with a view to creating a sustainable livelihood for our family. By renovating rental cottages to create the kind of place we would like to stay and offering them fully equipped and on a flexible stay basis, we have seen many people enjoying a break away from the restrictions of a hotel to kick back, relax and experience the French countryside during their European tour.

Do you travel regularly to Europe?

Being born and lived for most of our lives in the UK, we have travelled in Europe from a young age and then also with work (in our previous lives!) and our current focus is to aim to see as much in France as we can.

What do you enjoy most about running this kind of business?

Meeting people from all over the world fullfilling their dream to travel and see Europe. We love to be able to help people make the most of their stay with suggestions for local places they may not have heard of to visit, lending bikes for guests to enjoy exploring the quiet lanes and that quintissentially French experience of riding down to the village to get their morning bread.

Do you have any funny/memorable/inspirational memories of the business to share with us?

Too many to share! But by meeting people from all over the world, and in particular Australia, we have gained more knowledge of the country and have now added to our list of places to visit!

We offer well equipped, well-presented home-away-from-home accommodation in the heart of the Loire Valley countryside, providing the perfect base to visit chateaux, vineyards, historic towns and villages and experience a real flavour of French village life.
