 In Germany’s very west, inquisitive travellers will find a region that is yet to be discovered.
The Saarland, as the country’s smallest federal state and surrounded by France, Luxembourg and the Rhineland-Palatinate, offers not only a unique landscape perfect for outdoor activities but also anything a gourmet could wish for.
Why not combine the two and embark on a seven-day cycling tour around the Saarland taking in all its charms such as extensive woodlands, meadows filled with fruit trees, idyllic rivers and lakes? The route runs along flat stretches next to the rivers Saar, Moselle and Blies, crosses vineyards and mountainous areas.
