Stay in the heart of historical Lucca in our tastefully restored, Centuries old apartment. Enjoy the modern conveniences of our apartment in the centre of medieval Lucca. Why not make our apartment home for your holiday in Lucca? Our family apartment is in an ancient building in a prime location in the heart of Lucca's historical city. It is on the ground floor (up 8 steps) of a 3-storey building and is reached via a portico that has a security entrance from the street. The apartment is about 400 years old and it and the building have been tastefully restored.
There is central
hydronic heating with panels in each room. The apartment looks out onto
its own light-filled courtyard. The walls are whitewashed, the floors have original terracotta tiles, the ceilings are 10 feet high, and the large double glazed windows have timber shutters. The furniture is simple and functional
with some genuine Tuscan antiques. It is spacious, light and a typical
Lucchese home.
There are two bedrooms - one with a queen sized bed and the other
twin singles. Both are large, simply and tastefully furnished with
plenty of storage. Each bedroom has a large window facing the street. In
addition to the two bedrooms, the apartment also boasts a spacious
sitting room that overlooks the courtyard, a dining room and a small,
but functional kitchen. Therer is also a foyer/reading room on
entering the apartment and a renovated bathroom with a bath, bidet and
washing machine.
At the end of the street is a fountain where the Lucchese collect
their drinking water, and there are restaurants, bars, churches and
bakeries within 50 metres of the apartment.Lucca is living,
vibrant city that is largely closed to traffic and ideal for walking or
cycling. Its long and fascinating history is ideally explored while
you stroll or cycle through the narrow medieval and renaissance
cobblestone streets. It's close proximity to some of Italy's famous
sights makes Lucca the perfect base for your holiday.
