At Pyrenees Tours, we offer unique walking and slow food tours through the South West of France.

My name is Patrick Arrieula. I was born in south-west France in a little village at the foot of the Pyrénées in the Béarn region near the Spanish and Basque borders.

Since 1996 my wife Robbie and I have escorted unique tours through the South West of France during spring and autumn.  We would like to share with you our passion for this beautiful part of France. Our tours are based in the country, giving you the rare opportunity to meet the locals, taste the regional produce, admire the beautiful landscapes, and experience the culture.

The walking tours are suitable for all those who enjoy walking as well as good dining.  The two different itineraries are suitable for two types of walkers. One is for the more energetic with longer challenging walks and the other combines shorter walks with slow food & cultural activities. 

For your greatest comfort in the Béarn and Basque regions we will settle in at the one hotel for the nine days ensuring a stress-free stay where no packing and unpacking will be required.  During our Compostella tour changing hotels is necessary but we keep it to a minimum.

The hotels have been chosen for their comfort, charm and good table. All the rooms offer private ensuite facilities. Shops and banks are all within walking distance of the hotels.  All singles will have their own room and facilities unless sharing with a friend. During the tours, participants will have the choice of joining daily activities or relaxing in the village for the day.  A large coach will ensure a comfortable journey along the French country roads.

Included in your tour:  All transport, accommodation, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, wine, and activities as stated in the brochure.

Our French cottage, which is available for rent, is situated in the Pyrenees 1 hour away from Spain, the sea and the mountains.
