Holidays to Europe client testimonialsAt Holidays to Europe, we are passionate about helping others to experience the wonders of a European holiday. There's nothing we enjoy more than hearing the wonderful stories of returned clients who have had the trip of a lifetime. Our clients provide us with valuable feedback that we use, along with our own first-hand experiences, to plan amazing European holidays for our clients.

San Sebastian Bridge"Hi Carolyn, Thanks so much for arranging such a wonderful journey. It certainly was a trip of a lifetime!"
Melinda H, (Melbourne), May 2010

"Everything went really well. It's so good to have everything pre-arranged, including airport transfers, meaning that, from the moment you arrive, everything is organised. And key advice to any traveller doing a driving holiday is to either hire or buy a GPS when you arrive - it saved us so much hassle and made getting around a new country a breeze."
Peter W, (Wangaratta), May 2010

"Everything that Carolyn booked for us - our Eurail Pass and booked seats - all worked perfectly even with only 14 minutes between train changes. Carolyn is always great to talk to, and passes on so many handy tips. For future European holidays, I would use Holidays to Europe to book my entire trip, not just part of it. Thanks!"
Mary P, (Undera), June 2010

"I booked this trip right at the last minute and it worked out very well. The tour company were very professional. The coach was very comfortable, the driver was first class and the tour guide Dirk was very knowledgeable and was always concerned for our well-being as well as being amusing and genuinely friendly. The service provided by Holidays to Europe was excellent."
Stephen H, (Sydney), July 2010

Burgundy, France"Hi Carolyn, We had a wonderful time everything went well - it all went off without a hitch. Italy and France were great, the French chateaus were a highlight. Thank you so much for organising a great holiday . If people ask about Holidays to Europe, I will have no hesitation in recommending you. Just for your info, the hotel in Biarritz was very good. As I said, the Chateaux were a great experience. The hotel in Paris was good but very small rooms. It had been upgraded a few years ago and was quite modern. It was central to everything."
Tom P, (Sydney), August 2010

"Hi Carolyn Thank you for organising a fabulous holiday for me in Paris. The hotel was in a great spot and I thoroughly enjoyed the cooking school. During the cooking experience we went to the food markets and then went back to the chef's private apartment where we learnt both techniques and new recipes. Thanks again."
Rebecca T, (Sydney), September 2010

"I had an amazing time in Europe, truly amazing. I will come back to you to book my next overseas trip in 2012."
Liana T, (Adelaide), September 2010

"The entire group sends you a big “Thank You” ! The arrangements you made for us were just fantastic. The Rimini Hotel had a very good, if not scenic, location for touring. The hotel rooms looked recently renovated and were more than adequate.

Nikita and Keith, Trevi Fountain, Rome"All of the tours you arranged went off without a hitch and we enjoyed them all. Our favorites by far were any tours conducted by Dark Rome. Those docents were extremely knowledgeable and gave you excellent information and usually had crafted their tours to tell a story or illustrate a unique viewpoint. They showed you the highlights without overwhelming you.

"We had a great time and thank you for your assistance and advice. Happy New Year and good fortune in 2011."
Tricia Y, (USA), October 2010

"Thanks for the email re: our trip O.S. We had a fabulous trip and you will be happy to hear all the booking etc we perfect and hassle free. We experienced all seasons of weather. Would you believe it snowed the morning after we arrived in London and was so so cold for North Queenslanders. Thanks for all your bookings etc - we had a wonderful trip and hope to do business again."
Shane & Sally C and family, (Charters Towers), December 2010

"So the trip – AMAZING!! Thanks so much for your help. Kinda wish we had more time in London but there was nothing we could do about that, too many things to see in 2 days and too many people to catch up with. Berlin was COLD but good. We went out to a concentration camp on our first day and on a walking tour on the second day, our tour guide was from New Zealand of all places. Paris was absolutely beautiful. I loved Paris. We went up the Eiffel tower our first day and spent the whole next day at the Louvre. Rome was rainy but also good. We spent the 3 days looking at every stop on the hop on hop off bus tour. Keith proposed at the Trevi fountain after we had thrown our coin in. Was very beautiful and very romantic. I owe a part of my happiness to you for organising such an amazing trip for us. Maybe you’ll be hearing from us sooner rather than later to book our honeymoon."

Nikita and Keith, (Perth), February 2011

Austria"We are home after some great travel experiences. The cycling was excellent for people wanting to tour on bicycles without the hassles. The accommodation was excellent & we both felt it was a great way to experience an area. The maps & directions were a bit difficult at times & probably needed a bit of updating but otherwise great. It is easy cycling & not for those looking for lots of k's.

"Thanks for your help, we would definitely recommend your service to others."

Anne G, (Beechworth), September 2011

"Thank you for the 'welcome home'. Gail and I had the most wonderful holiday and are both so grateful to you for everything. Our accommodation was great, both comfort and position. Venice was the most 'compact' but still delightful in it's own way. We loved every day and it is hard to pick a favourite although Gail and I both agreed that Beaune was very special. The loveliest village, the loveliest shopping centre and the loveliest people. We were there on a Saturday and walked in to town to be blown away by the most incredible market. Produce that defies description.

"Took a half day tour from Siena into the Tuscan countryside, the Chianti region and San Gimanigno plus a wine tasting - fabulous. Giverney was great and we were able to organize a half day to Versailles - Wow! I don't know how many times I turned a corner and said - Wow! Our Batobus was booked on a Tuesday and the Louvre is closed on Tuesdays so we missed the Mona Lisa but dinner at the Eiffel Tower made up for that, not to mention countless other wow moments, including of course 'The Last Supper' in Milan. It brought a tear to my eye.

Champs Elysees, Paris"Hop on/off bus in London was great and a train to Bath did not disappoint. What a beautiful town. Loved Amalfi. Did Capri and caught a bus to Ravello the next day - magnificent. Although Amalfi was full of tourists it still felt 'local'. Old men on benches talking and families out enjoying the evenings together. A sea breeze wafted through our shuttered windows and we woke to the sound of the ocean.

"Our room at the Hotel Alexandra was lovely and we spent a very special last five days in Rome. So much history and so much to see. My son and daughter-in-law flew in while we were there so what a treat to be able to catch up with them for dinner.

"We found the French to be beautiful physically and socially. So obliging and polite. The Italians and British not so much. Some were lovely of course but some rude and disagreeable. But you get over it and chalk it all down to experience. Train trips were our most stressful times. Catching them, getting ourselves on and off them and lugging our bags into carriages and on to racks. Physically and mentally demanding but again, all part of the experience. We arrived at every station with heaps of time to spare so as to avoid any panic. That usually worked!!

"Carolyn, I could go on and on. Every day was a blessing and the planning that went into our trip is a credit to you. Because of you we had the experience of a lifetime. Not a cross word was spoken between us and we finished each day in fits of giggles. The bottle of wine that we shared for dinner may have contributed to that! As sisters and best friends both Gail and myself will be forever grateful to you for a most magnificent September. "

Judi W, (Wangaratta), September 2011

"As you well know, Florence itself is a work of art, so there's no need to elaborate. Everything is within walking distance, so imagine the savings with regards to transport costs!

Rome, Italy"As far as this type of tour is concerned, I'd say it combines the best aspects of different types of tours. You have more flexibility: obviously, you choose what you want to study, and how much. I did Art History for the whole four weeks (4 hours per week), but only chose to do Figure Drawing for two weeks, which gave me more spare time to sightsee. The subjects offered were numerous, and ranged from Italian (at various levels) at the Michelangelo Institute to Sculpture at the Accademia d'Arte. Weekend trips to places of interest outside Florence are offered at the weekends.

"Carolyn, for me this type of holiday was a dream come true. I have recommended you to others as I found you exceptionally efficient, and once again, thank you. "

Mary Z, (Melbourne), September 2011

"Everything went really smoothly. I was glad I had all the accommodation and directions organised so there was no stuffing around at the other end. There were no dramas with flights and everything connected and was on time (or early). The weather was very kind to us and we only had one miserable day, the rest were clear and crisp.

"Highlights? That's hard, but we did have a magic day with friends taking the cable car up to the alps and walking between villages through the snow, with lunch at a beautiful Tyrolean restaurant. Sardinia was also fantastic and as I hadn't been there before, it was all new. But all of it was great, castles, museums, concert, theatre, palaces, gardens, galleries, churches, boats, we packed it in. Three weeks definitely wasn't long enough and because we didn't have time for 'down-time' were pretty exhaused by the end. Would have liked to sit about a bit at cafes for lunch and do a bit of shoe shopping. As it was the case was stuffed with gifts but not with shoes unfortunately!"

Linda P, (Beechworth), December 2011

"Hi Carolyn, Lovely to hear from you. Yes we had a wonderful time and all the arrangements went well. I enjoyed the balance of city to country and of course Zell am See is perfect for a relaxing and special Christmas time.

Spanish Riding School, Vienna"Fussen was very pretty with all the Christmas lights and great shopping. The accommodation and food at Hotel Schlosskrone was excellent and the breakfast was the best we had. Awoke to heavy snowfall and snowball fights with Claudia - fun!

"Our drive to Vienna was beautiful through all the snow. I could have stayed longer in Vienna, so much to see and do but we covered a fair bit of ground and enjoyed the things we did.

"In hindsight, I I would have spent more time in Salzburg - what an amazing city! Definitely worth a return. I would recommend the Sound of Music Tour, a great overview to start with and the Salzburg card which was good value. Oh and Munich was fun and the accommodation, Courtyard Munich City Centre Hotel, was great. Had one of my best meals there.

"Thank you so much for your planning and expertise, it made our trip very enjoyable."
Jane F, (Walcha), December 2011

"Dear Carolyn,

French Boulangerie"We are just writing to thank you for the fantastic job you did in assisting us with our European Holiday last Christmas.

"Your advice and suggestions were invaluable and made the trip a great success.

"With the role of Travel Agents changing so much, we were pleasantly surprised at not only the value we received from you, but also the service levels that went above and beyond our expectations.

"We would not dream of organising another European holiday without you!

"Thanks again,"

Jonathan and Beth, (Sydney), December 2011

"Hi Carolyn,
Thank you very much in turn for your professional and efficient service. I may not be a big time traveller but you have certainly made me feel that way.

"No doubt, I will provide you as a reference to anyone who may plan on travelling to Europe and will utilise your services whenever I require any tickets.

"Kind Regards,"

Hilda, (Brisbane), March 2012

"We had a wonderful holiday and everything ran like clockwork. It was such a blessing having tours, skip the line, etc, oganised as you were right about the long wait if this had not been organised. Queue at the Vatican the day we were there was three hours (according to our guide). Matt said one of the highlights was that we just walked straight into everything we did, as if we were VIPs!

"Kids were fantastic travellers and adapted so well to new countries, food, currencies, people.

"Accommodation was brilliant all the way and all accommodation you organised was so central, clean and very comfortable. People met us as soon as we called to say we had arrived and were all very hospitable.

"Tour guides were all very informative and entertaining - all the arrangements you made could not have been improved upon at all!

"Carolyn, thank you so much for your professionalism, advice and organisation of our trip. You saved me hours in the organisation of it at this end and hours when we were actually living it."
